Finding itself in more than a spot of bother over its decision to reinstate the music of controversial R&B star, R. Kelly, on its platform, Spotify is said to be getting ready to introduce a new feature that will allow users to mute artists they don’t want to hear from.
According to Thurrot, the new feature is already being tested by the service, and would enable users to block any artist from all curated playlists, including Discover Weekly, Daily Mixes and global charts.
The report further says that the feature can be accessed from the menu button (three dots on the top-right), from where, users will be able to tap on the ‘Don’t play this artist’ option to mute any musician on the platform.
