Lenovo has announced an updated ThinkPad X1 Carbon at CES 2019. Built from CNC aluminum, it is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, and also comes with an optional carbon fiber weave top cover.
On the hardware side of things, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon comes with Intel's latest 8th-gen Core processors, up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe SSD storage.
You can go all the way up to an 4K HDR IPS panel with 500 nits in terms of display. One of the biggest changes is the addition of speakers on top, which make the X1 Carbon a much better multimedia notebook.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon range starts at $1,710 and will be available from June.
