Pandora for iOS Brings Offline Playback Support on Apple Watch

Besides great native features, Apple Watch regularly gets app updates that make the wearable all the more feature-rich. The latest addition is Pandora’s offline playback support and tighter integration with Apple Watch (only applicable for watchOS 5). Not only will you be able to control playback and add tracks to your favorites, the Apple Watch app includes offline playback, so you can leave your phone at home and listen to a playlist without a tethered connection.
There’s one big caveat though. Offline playback support is only for those subscribing to Pandora Plus or Pandora Premium, the paid service. While Spotify is still the market leader in music streaming, Pandora’s latest update gives it a major advantage as Spotify is yet to add offline playback support despite promising to do so in its last announcement for Apple Watch.
