New Acer Swift 7 Ultrabook Comes With 8th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU

Acer has unveiled an updated model of its Swift 7 Ultrabook. The device features a 14-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The screen is surrounded with minimal bezels, offering a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The latest Acer Swift 7 is powered by Intel's Core i7-8500Y CPU, and is offered with up to 16 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and up to 512 GB of PCIe storage. The base model, however, comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Acer Swift 7 has 2x USB Type-C ports with 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort 1.2. The battery capacity wasn't specified, but Acer is claiming 10 hours of battery life from a single charge. Another feature of the laptop is the push-to-open webcam that pops up from the base of the keyboard.
The all-new Acer Swift 7 will be available in the US in May starting at $1,699.
