Facebook Messenger ‘Dark Mode’ Reportedly Being Tested in Some Countries

Facebook Messenger is reportedly testing a ‘dark mode’  following persistent requests from users. The rollout, however, has only begun in certain countries, according to famed reverse-engineering specialist and app teardown expert, Jane Manchung Wong.

It’s worth noting here that the new feature is still a work in progress, and some elements of the interface still remain white as of now. As can be seen in the screenshot below, once the dark mode is enabled via a toggle switch, the app will warn users that the feature hasn’t been implemented universally throughout the UI.
