‘Doomba’ Turns Floor Map Data From Smart Vacuum Cleaners Into Doom Levels

Veteran game programmer and designer, Rich Whitehouse, has released a script that he claims can enable the Roomba smart vacuum cleaner to produce a Doom map by scanning its surroundings.
Called ‘DOOMBA’, the program can reportedly take floor map data generated by the Roomba and convert it into Doom levels. In a post on his personal blog, Whitehouse said that the idea came to him after noticing that his smart vacuum cleaner was putting together some pretty detailed environment data with their sensors.
Do note that the script has only been tested with the Roomba 980, so there’s no guarantee that it will work with all Roomba models. In case you’re interested in turning your drawing room into a Doom level, you can do so by checking out the official blog post.
