Radical New Model of the Universe May Solve The ‘Dark Energy’ Mystery

In a development that some believe could eventually solve the mystery about dark matter and energy – the stuff that makes up 95 percent of the universe, but has baffled scientists for decades.

Researchers from Uppsala University in Sweden have devised a new model for the universe, proposing a new structural concept that rides on an expanding bubble in an additional dimension. The whole Universe is accommodated on the edge of this expanding bubble, claimed the researchers

Titled “Our universe: An expanding bubble in an extra dimension”, the research was published in the journal Physical Review Letters. The team of scientists who wrote the paper include Souvik Banerjee, Ulf Danielsson, Giuseppe Dibitetto, Suvendu Giri, Marjorie Schillo.
