Anyone who has installed Windows 10 lately would be familiar with the annoying voice prompts from Cortana, almost hand-holding you through the setup process.
Well, turns out you won’t have to put up with that for long. Microsoft is reportedly planning to mute Cortana during this installation setup of Windows 10 with the April 2019 update. Yes, it’s a way away, but Insider build users would be able to get this feature sooner than that.
It’s not all good news. If you use Windows 10 Home, you are likely to be given the Cortana-led orientation, just like now. Microsoft would be muting Cortana only for Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education, which makes it easier for admins to deploy Windows 10 in old machines.
