As per an official teaser image posted on Weibo, the Honor 8A will be unveiled in the country on January 8 with a modern design language that includes a teardrop notch to house the front-facing camera.
The image, which can be seen above, also suggests that the device will ship with 64GB of on-board storage, an octa-core processor, an 8MP selfie cam and stereo speakers.
The Honor 7A was launched in India last May for Rs. 8,999, so it will be interesting to see when its successor will be launched in the country and at what price given the spate of launches in this segment.
