LG has unveiled its next-gen smart TVs ahead of the CES 2019 tech show in Las Vegas. According to the company’s official press release, the devices are powered by the company’s second-gen Alpha 9 processor with ThinQ AI and offer support for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The lineup includes the company’s first 8K TVs – the 88-inch Z9 OLED and the 75-inch SM99 LCD – and supports the latest HDMI v2.1 standard. Overall, there are 6 different lineups, including the Z9, W9, E9 and C9 with OLED panels, and the SM9x and SM8x with LCD panels. The later two will be marketed as part of the company’s re-branded ‘NanoCell’ range, the company said.
