D-Link Router Brings 5G Network to Home Users

D-Link has launched a gateway router DWR-2010 5G NR router that will bring 5G speeds to home networks. The router promises speeds as fast as 3Gbps, which the company says are up to 40 times faster than the average fixed broadband speed in the US. At the moment, the router will be sold only in the US. All you need to set it up is a power outlet and a 5G SIM card.
Besides VoLTE support and that for D-Link’s proprietary WiFi Mesh system, mobile carriers can use it for 5G-based home internet packages such as those offered by Reliance Jio and Airtel in India. It remains to be seen whether the router makes it to other markets besides US.
