Youngest US Congresswoman to Give Colleagues Twitter Lessons

In what could be called a bizarre development in light of the government shutdown, newly-elected Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the youngest US Congresswoman, is set to give her Democratic colleagues lessons on how to use Twitter in a more effective way.

According to CNN, Ocasio-Cortez, 29, and fellow Democratic Congressman, Jim Himes, will reportedly “discuss how they use Twitter as an effective and authentic messaging tool to connect with their constituents” and “the importance of digital storytelling”.

The young Congresswoman, who has become a major celebrity among liberals and progressives following her stunning victory last year, has 2.4 million followers on her campaign Twitter handle, surpassing House Speaker and Democratic stalwart Nancy Pelosi’s 2 million followers on her official account.
