Udacity Withdraws Android, iOS Apps Without Explanation

Online education company, Udacity, is shutting down its mobile apps on both Android and iOS. The company said that the apps have been removed from the App Store and the Play Store, and “can no longer be downloaded and are not supported after January 9, 2019”.
Udacity didn’t offer any explanation for its sudden decision, but says that it plans to offer an improved Udacity App experience in the future, but didn’t give any concrete date for that.
In the meantime, the company’s services will continue to be available online via web browsers, and students can continue to access all coarse material via the mobile browser as usual.
“Students are encouraged to use udacity.com to access the Classroom experience, Knowledge and Student Hub”, the company said.
