Samsung’s Noida Factory Workers Demanding Better Salaries, Work Hours

Around 1,500 Samsung employees, last week staged a silent demonstration at the company’s new Noida factory, the world’s largest mobile phone manufacturing unit. The protesters reportedly had a dozen demands, ranging from higher salaries, a roll-back of the revised shift timings and longer lunch hours.
According to ET, however, the workers have agreed to return to work following fruitful negotiations with the management, which has already agreed to nine out of their twelve demands, and assured them that the rest of the issues will be resolved within the next one month.
