At CES 2019, Philips announced a variety of new wall-mounted outdoor fixtures, path lighting and a battery-operated outdoor motion sensor as part of its ‘Hue’ line of smart lighting products.
The motion sensor allows users to choose (via the Philips Hue app) which lights – inside or out – go on when someone passes by. It has a detection range of 12m (39ft) and costs $50 in the US. It will be available from purchase from next month.
Other new products include the Philips Hue Welcome Flood Light (white only), the Philips Hue Discover Flood Light (White and Color Ambiance), and the Philips Hue Econic family of wall lights, all of which will be available in both Europe and the US from $110.
For the European market, Philips also announced the Hue Econic pedestal and post, the Hue Fuzo family and the Hue Calla large bollard starting at €80.
