Nvidia Announces $349 GeForce RTX 2060 at CES 2019

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 is official. The company has finally announced the more affordable RTX-series GPU at CES 2019, as has been rumored for months. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang unveiled the new GPU at the keynote, and also demoed Battlefield V with real-time ray tracing enabled.
Priced at $349 for the RTX 2060 Founder's Edition, the card is touted to be faster than the 1070 Ti. The GeForce RTX 2060 the card will be using the TU106 GPU core, featuring 1920 CUDA cores, 240 Tensor Cores, 30 RT cores, 120 TMUs, and 48 ROPs. The card will feature clock speeds in the 1365 MHz (base) and 1680 MHz (overclocked) range while delivering up to 6.5 TFLOPs of compute performance.

Given that the GTX 1060 was the most popular GPU last year, it remains to be seen how quickly gamers gravitate towards the 2060 for that sweet spot of price and performance.
