OPPO has joined the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), giving rise to speculations that future Oppo and OnePlus devices may support the Qi wireless charging standard.
It’s not immediately clear when Oppo joined the organization, but the company is now clearly listed as one of the members on the official WPC site, as can be seen from the accompanying screenshot.
WPC, in case you didn’t know it already, is a collection of companies that develops and promotes the Qi wireless standard. The organization counts the likes of Samsung, Apple, and Huawei among its members.
