Netflix has raised its prices for US subscribers by $1-$2. All three of its plans are becoming more expensive, with the base non-HD $7.99 plan now slated to cost $8.99 per month. The standard HD plan will now cost $12.99 instead of $10.99, while the price of the premium UHD plan is being increased from $13.99 to $15.99.
The increase will affect all consumers in the United States, as well as some countries in South America and the Caribbean. While the company hasn’t said anything about raising its prices in the rest of the world, some are worried that the new pricing strategy may also be implemented elsewhere, including in India, where the three plans are priced at Rs 500, Rs 650 and Rs 800.
