Mozilla To Remove Controversial Save Button from Firefox Screenshot Utility

Mozilla will remove the “Save” button that appears when users take a screenshot using the native tool. Many users complained about the fact that the button is misleading as it actually did not save the screenshot on your local drive, but uploaded it to Mozilla servers, so you can access it on all Firefox devices.
Naturally, users were angry about the deception and Mozilla’s misleading button is also a privacy violation in many countries. But as ZDNet reports, Mozilla is now removing the button altogether. The report cites notes from a recent Mozilla internal meeting which said the servers of the Screenshot utility will be shut down.
