Red Dead Online, the multiplayer version of RDR 2, is getting an improved battle royale mode as part of the latest update. The multiplayer version already had a BR-like mode, but it wasn’t the best implementation as we saw in our review.
According to a blog post by Rockstar, Red Dead Online Beta is introducing a ‘Gun Rush’ mode that will see players “put their survival instincts to the test, gathering weapons and ammunition while the play area shrinks in this new mode … where the last one standing wins”.
The new mode is available to play now in Free-for-all and Team variations, but will have a 32-player cap unlike other popular battle royale titles like PUBG, which accommodates up to 100 players on a map at once.
