After launching the original Vivoactive 3 smartwatch last year, Garmin has unveiled a new variant of the device at the ongoing CES 2019 trade show in Las Vegas. Called the Vivoactive 3 Music (Verizon), the device comes with native LTE connectivity and will be launched on Verizon’s 4G network in the US.
The main highlight of the device is its LiveTrack feature that allows users to share their location with their friends in real-time. There’s also an SOS mode that will alert pre-selected contacts in case of an emergency.
The LTE connection will also enable music downloads and allow users to send and receive text messages, but it doesn’t have a phone receiver, which means there’s no way to make a call through the device.
