The next OnePlus flagship maybe the first mainstream smartphone to feature UFS 3.0 storage, marking a substantial improvement to its read/write speeds as compared to its predecessors.
The news comes from tipster @UniverseIce, who recently posted a screenshot that seems to suggest a 10 percent improvement in random read speeds and a whopping 5x increase in random write speeds when compared to the OnePlus 6T, which uses UFS 2.1 storage.
The sequential speeds (both read/write) see a bigger gain, but that doesn’t always mean a direct improvement in actual user experience.
