Facebook Brings Fact Checking Programme to Britian

Facebook has entered into a partnership with independent charity Full Fact to launch its fact-checking operation in Britain, a media report said.
As part of the partnership, Full Fact will review and rate the accuracy of content on the social network, The Guardian reported on Friday. The team of fact-checkers at Full Fact will be able to review images, videos, and links posted on Facebook and mark false content as such.
As a result, people might know beforehand if a post they are about to share on Facebook was found to be false. But Facebook would not stop users from sharing or reading false content, The Guardian report said, adding that in Britain, Full Fact will initially be Facebook’s sole fact-checking partner.
