Amazon Prime Membership Swells to Over 100 Million in US

Amazon does not dole out information on the number of Prime members, but according to an Amazon customer survey, conducted by research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), revealed there are more than 101 million Amazon Prime members in the United States alone.
This means around 38% of internet users in the US are Prime members and they’re spending an average of $1,400 per year as compared to $600 spent by a non-member (thanks, Prime Day sales!).
The survey further shed light on the type of membership fees that users usually opt for – annual, monthly or others. The others here constitute a free trial, a shared membership, and more. The survey involved 500 U.S customers who had bought Amazon Prime between October to December 2018.
