Ending its nearly year-long moratorium on video game approvals, China’s State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television earlier this month approved dozens of titles for release in the country.
However, now that the full list of the 80 approved games has been officially released, it seems as though the country’s largest video games publisher, Tencent, has been left out of the loop.
It’s not immediately clear why the regulators didn’t approve any Tencent games, but the country had reportedly halted the approval process earlier this year to address public concerns about increasing gaming addiction among children.
