A woman from the US state of New Jersey has tweeted a short 11-second video that seems to show her 6-year-old son asking Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant to solve his math problems.
In an interview to The New York Post, the mother, Yerelen Cuev, said that she decided to check on her son, Jariel, after it sounded like he was cheating on his homework by getting Alexa to do all the hard lifting.
In the video, the child can be heard asking “Alexa , what is 5 minus 3?”. On getting the correct answer from what seems to be an Echo smart speaker on the table, he reportedly thanked Alexa for her help.
According to Cuev, “I’m in the living room, and I overheard him asking Alexa some math problems, and I could not believe it!”. The device was apparently bought just a week before the hilarious incident.
