Segway’s New Autonomous Robots Use AI to Deliver Packages to the Right Place

Segway is branching out from personal transportation to commercial deliveries with a new lineup of delivery robots, meant to replace traditional ways of delivering packages inside large buildings.
Ninebot, the parent company, is debuting the Loomo Delivery at CES 2019, which is designed to make deliveries in buildings, malls and indoor arenas. The Loomo bot will use AI to make sure the package is dropped off at the right desk inside these buildings, and thus save on costs and improve reliability of such deliveries. It comes with an interactive touch screen interface, a cloud management center and real-time monitoring features. It also has elevator integration, so that packages can be sent to higher floors without much delay.
