According to reports in the Chinese media, demand for the Redmi Note 7 is so high that pre-orders had to be stopped within just 20 minutes after the company reopened bookings yesterday.
The device had first gone on pre-order immediately after its unveiling last week, but the process was suspended without notice after just 2 days following unexpectedly high demand.
Redmi CEO, Lu Welbing, claimed that the company had been stockpiling hundreds of thousands of units of the Redmi Note 7 for the first sale, but apparently, even that wasn't enough in the face of the massive demand. The next spot-sale will be on January 15, he said.
