Pundi X Unveils Blockchain-based XPhone Prototype at CES 2019

Blockchain startup, Pundi X, has demoed a number of different blockchain-powered solutions at CES 2019. First off is a new version of XWallet, a mobile app that eases digital payment and enables small merchants to accept payment in cryptocurrencies on Android phones.
The company also showcased XPOS, a blockchain-based point-of-sale payment processor for retailers. According to the company’s press release, the technology enables faster transaction of digital assets using the company’s XPASS contactless debit card.
Last, but definitely not the least is a prototype for the first blockchain smartphone called XPhone. According to Pundi X, the device can switch from Android mode to blockchain mode with the swipe of a finger, allowing for secure end-to-end texts and calls.
