Nvidia CEO Calls Brand New AMD Radeon VII Performance ‘Lousy’

The AMD vs Nvidia war is still going strong as both companies launched new products at CES 2019 to renew the rivalry.
And while AMD’s latest graphics card, the Radeon VII, is yet to hit the market, it’s billed to be just as powerful as an Nvidia RTX 2080. Naturally, Nvidia is not cool with these comparisons. Gizmodo reports that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang jokingly dismissed AMD’s announcement at a round table with media, calling it “underwhelming”. He went on to add, “The performance is lousy,” according to the report.
But AMD played it cool. In response to the comments, AMD CEO Lisa Su told journalists, “I would probably suggest he hasn’t seen it [Radeon VII Performance].”
