At CES 2019, Intel announced the Optane Memory H10 hybrid storage drive that combines Optane cache with NAND flash SSD on the same M.2 drive. According to Intel, the product is being marketed only to OEMs at launch but may be sold to retail buyers in the future.
Optane Memory H10 will come in three configurations: 16GB of Optane and 256GB of NAND; 32GB of Optane and 512GB of NAND, and 32GB of Optane with 1TB of NAND flash.
Several leading OEMs have apparently already signed-up for the H10, with Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer and Asus said to be working on laptops with the new drives. According to PC Mag, Intel execs believe that H10-infused devices should start showing up on retail shelves from the first week of April.
