Google has recently been painting all of its apps all-white and then adding a dark mode option to them. Google Assistant seems to be next in line because of the cards with dark backgrounds spotted in the latest Google app beta.
As spotted by 9to5Google, if you have your Android 9 Pie device on battery saver or ‘Night mode’ in developer options is set to ‘Always on’ then you’ll be able to see the dark mode cards.
We tested out the same and well, to our surprise, it works (but looks odd as everything else appears white) but we cannot be more excited for the final polished version.
