Facebook has redesigned Messenger, making the app less cluttered by consolidation the nine tabs it used to have into just three. The update is live for both Android and iOS.
Announced at F8 way back in May 2018, the idea behind the redesign was to make the UI less complex by giving users fewer menu options and tabs. The app also looks fresher thanks to more whitespace as well as hidden-away buttons for less-frequented settings such as game, bots or reminder features.
The company has been testing the new UI since last October to iron out any chinks and you can now experience the fresh new Messenger on your smartphone.
