At CES 2019 in Las Vegas, Asus unveiled its ‘ROG Mothership’ (GZ700) gaming laptop that comes with a tablet-style body with a fold-out kickstand and a detachable keyboard. The device also comes with a plethora of LED lights in multiple hues on all sides.
The Asus ROG Mothership features a 17.3-inch FHD IPS Gsync Display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response time. Its powerful hardware includes the Core i9-8950HK CPU, the GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and up to three 512GB NVMe SSDs in RAID 0.
As expected, cooling is also a big focus area in the Mothership, with vents in the top corners, eight CPU-linked heat pipes for heat dissipation, and four heatsinks lined with 375 ultra-thin copper fins. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.0, Thunderbolt 3, and USB Type-C ports.
Asus is yet to announce the pricing and availability details for the device.
