Having rolled it out for iOS users last month, Twitter has finally re-introduced the reverse-chronological feed option on its Android app after almost three years.
As part of the change, users will now have the option to see the most recent tweets in their timeline rather than being stuck with so-called ‘top tweets’ as deduced by Twitter’s algorithm.
The feature can be accessed via the ‘Sparkle’ button at the top-right of the Twitter home screen on the Android app and then toggling between the ‘see latest tweets’ and ‘go back home’ options.
While the former option, as promised, will show you the latest tweets in your timeline, the latter will go back to the ‘top tweets first’ arrangement.
