China's crackdown on internet platforms is continuing unabated, with the country now making hosting services, forums and app creators responsible for all content uploaded by users.
These platforms will now have to review every piece of content before putting them online - a directive that could affect services like TikTok, which has become increasingly popular in India over the past year.
According to the FT, the latest guidelines laid out by the country's government bans 100 types of content that the country's communist government deems inappropriate, from videos “promoting money worship and hedonism” to those that show people "chanting spells to change human destiny" or "walking on the edge of social morality".
