After many delays, since it was first announced a year and a half ago, the Apple AirPower wireless charging mat might finally see a commercial launch this year.
According to a report from Hong Kong-based ChargerLAB, ‘credible sources’ within the supply chain seems to have revealed that contract manufacturer Luxshare Precision has already started producing the elusive device.
According to the report, Luxshare is a member of the Wireless Power Consortium behind the Qi standard, and already manufacturers Apple AirPods and Lightning to USB-C cables.
